Exploration well on the Atlas prospect, a structural/stratigraphic trap, with pinch-out against the Ryggsteinen Ridge to the north, dip to the north-east and faulting to the west; separating Atlas from Skarfjell. Intra-Heather sandstone objectives in Oxfordian (primary) and Callovian (secondary). Well encountered Oxfordian (Sognefjord) sandstone at 2,950–2,957 m and two Callovian sand units (Fensfjord) at 3,097–3,156 ft and 3,225-3,257 ft. All sands were water-wet with residual oil shows.
