Exploration well on the Tastaveden prospect, a down-thrown fault block modified by inversion with Middle Jurassic (Hugin and Sleipner) objectives requiring lateral seal against Lower Jurassic and Triassic and dip-closure to the north and east. The prospect required long-distance migration from the Viking Graben. Hugin objective at 2,372 m was 19 m gross (15 m net good reservoir) and the Sleipner at 2,391 m (28 m gross to TD), with mostly poor quality reservoir. Both sandstones dry with no shows. Draupne and Heather shales (2,308–2,372 m) showed good oil source quality but were immature.
