Exploration well on a down-thrown fault block on the eastern flank of the Visund Nord structure. Primary objective was the Upper Statfjord (Helene prospect), with secondary Lunde/Lower Statfjord(Methone). Apparent erosion of the Upper and Middle Jurassic (Brent) below Upper Cretaceous. Well, however, encountered a near-complete Jurassic section, with gas/condensate in good quality sandstones in the Heather at 3,913 m overlying the Brent at 3,951 m, with a 52 m column to the base of the Ness at 3,973 m (2,958 m TVDSS). Minor hydrocarbons in Cook and Statfjord sands with the Lunde water-wet.
