Released Well 30/11-10, 10 A

Exploration well on the Krafla Nord prospect, a fault block structure, down-thrown from the Krafla Main discovery on the edge of the Viking Graben and with primary reservoir objectives in the Lower Tarbert and Etive. Well encountered oil in the Lower Tarbert from 3,554 m to an oil-water contact at 3,659 m (3,634 m TVDSS) and a 20 m oil column towards the base of the Etive. Oil samples were recovered from both reservoirs, with a gas condensate sample from a Ness sandstone at 3,897 m.
