Exploration well on Zulu Øst, a shallow, low-relief dip-closure over Miocene Utsira sand channel with bright amplitudes over crest. Well encountered gas in 23 m gross Utsira sandstone unit at 803–826 m, Recovered gas sample 99.7% methane with light stable carbon isotope ratios (delta C13-71.3 ppt VPDB) consistent with biogenic source. Porosities average 35–36%. Deeper sands in Utsira (867–877 m) and Skade (906–987 m) water-wet with no shows. Pressure data show projected gas-water contact at 838 m (808 m TVDSS), with 35 m gas column. Discovery considered non-commercial.
