Vertical exploration well on the Mim prospect, a tilted horst block structure with Fangst (primary) and Båt (secondary) targets. An amplitude anomaly at top Lower Cretaceous located on the NW flank was an additional objective. The well proved gas in a 6 m Lange sand at 2,592 m TVDSS coincident with the amplitude anomaly; named Osprey. The Fangst and Båt group objectives, from 3,272 m TVDSS to TD, were water-wet with residual fluorescence and cut in core. The 6507/3-12 A well, a down-dip appraisal of Osprey, was junked at 2,687 m after 95/8" casing was stuck.
