Sub-vertical exploration well on the Cape Vulture prospect, a pinch-out play with two Intra-Lange sandstone objectives defined by conformable amplitudes and AVO. Well encountered possible saturation from logs above and below the main objectives. Cape Vulture Upper sand at 2,947 m (2,895 m TVDSS) was 8 m gross with 5 m oil pay. Cape Vulture Lower sand incides two sand beds separated by a thin shale; upper was 13 m gross with 10 m net gas pay, lower was 5 m gross with 3 m net oil pay. Oil and gas samples were recovered from all three sands.
